In this class, Mr Paterson talked about the things we can't have in our essays. For example, personal pronouns. In personal pronouns, there are I, my, me, you, you're, we, us, our and so on. I haven't really thought of these things when I write essays so I didn't know how much I am using it. So I went to my essay and see if I have used any of the personal pronouns. There were lots of time when I was using it so I was a bit surprised. I thought I need to fix it, so I used other words to connect to the next word. Mr Paterson also talked about contractions&Run on. In this section, there are things we are not allowed to use like writing "don't" as do not, and writing "can't" as cannot, etc, "and so on". I am kind of used to using these words so I believed there are lots of these words. However, when I try to find these words, there weren't any of them. In this class, we talked about a classical 5 paragraph essays. In my previous school, I had lots is chances to write essays with the basic 5 paragraph essays so I was familiar with the introduction, body paragraph 1, 2, 3 and the conclusion. I also knew that the first two paragraphs are for the hook, and also, there is a statement we say at the start and write the reasons in the body paragraphs so I thought we will write an essay with this strategy. However, it was a different way than I thought it will be. We are going to write an essay within our groups about the presentation we were working on for these few months. For the title, introduction and the conclusion is the same, but the body paragraph was different and that made me a bit confusing because I have never written an essay with the form we have to write with. In this class, we started off with Mr Paterson talking about Mapping the room. At first I didn’t know what was “ Mapping the room” means, but when he made an example, I thought it was really interesting because he used all the space and at the same time, he separated the room into 3 parts, and each part of the room, he chose a topic and talk about topic only in the space he chose. I thought this was really amazing because After he talked about “Mapping the room”, we had time for improve our presentation slides, websites and other things. We first watched a video as a team because we got a feedback that we should watch it as a team so that the other teammates will notice different things and I could notice something that my other teammates did well and also find something they should have done. For our websites, we continued making our brochures because we haven’t finished it yet and we are going to use it next class by showing each other’s brochures and see if there are anything th...

Same as the previous class, Mr Paterson continued giving each groups a deep feedbacks about the presentation. While he does that, my group watches a video of our presentation because I forgot to send them the video and they had to watch it during the class. After that, we I was looking at our presentation and our websites and tried to find things we need to improve. However, what I thought is that I want to change things after we get feedback because I don’t want to change anything that doesn’t need to be changed, and also, I thought that there are more places to improve and we just don’t notice it. After the first group got the feedback, it was our turn to get the feedback. When I got the feedback from Mr Paterson, I kind of thought the same thing as what he was saying like the time I spoke was too short, and also I kept my had together and not releasing it. However, when he talked about the slides of the solution and conclusion, I finally noticed what was bad about the presentation...

In this lesson, Mr Paterson continued to give each group more detailed feedback about the presentation, and while he does that, the rest of the teams including us was doing what we need to be doing.  For example, improving our presentation, improving the websites and so on. What we did is improve our websites more.  In our websites, we were supposed to put all three section's information on one page. However, we separated all three sections in three pages so we thought we will have to change that, and also, I personally thought that we should put the infographic on the same page with the information about what we talked about in our presentation. However, there were also somethings we need to improve in our presentation we couldn't improve in this class which we should improve. For example, changing the pictures which do not relate to what we are talking about (summary, limitation, conclusion). We weren't able to notice when we were preparing the presentation but as ...

In the first half of this class,  I watched the last presentation from group 1. I thought the information was good, and the problems they find is true. However, I think the way they deliver was not that good. For example, they didn't really have the eye contact to us, and also they hesitated a lot and I sometimes couldn't really hear what they are saying, so I couldn't ask questions. The second half of this class, Mr Paterson gave feedbacks to some groups with their grade for the presentation. While Mr Paterson was giving feedbacks, the rest of the people were doing to blog because there are many people who do the blog after 3 days have passed. Mostly, do the blog on time, but sometimes I forget to do it and do it after 3 days have passed so I think I have to fix that and from now on, I will write the blog within 3 days. Today, there wasn't any time for my group to get the feedback, but I believe we will get it in tomorrow's lesson, and until tomorrow's less...
