In this lesson, we discussed about whether If we trust other people or not. I thought it was interesting to discuss because my mind changed from the first discussion and the second discussion. For the first discussion about the evil essay, I thought we should cooperate together for our grades. 3 people chose the cooperate and 1 person betrayed. From this discussion, I understood that at least one person will betray. So for the second discussion about the salary, I chose to betray. 3 people betrayed and 1 person chose to cooperate. If it was me before the first discussion, I will cooperate. Even if we do these discussion, we don’t know what each what are thinking about, so I can’t judge who I can trust and who I can’t. So I thought I want to know how to judge them.

Evil Essay Assessment

I will cooperate with everyone in the group because I want the grade to go up definitely. If every one chose to work it independently, my grade will go down. However, if we choose to work as a group till the end, my grade will definitely go up.  I will betray because I now knew someone will betray. If one person betrays, other people’s salary will go down. So I rather betray and have the same salary or be the boss. If someone wakes become the boss, I won’t trust and if I become the boss, I think people won’t trust me.

In this lesson, I first watch the video till the end. Out of the information that was in the video, I thought the most bad technique was first listening to the public opinion and try to change something but not the way they thought. The example that was explained was the people saying the education should be improved using more money. However, what they did to improve didn’t need any money. I think people trying to improve something is a good thing but not living up to public expectation is not a good thing. I think I will watch it one more time to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I will think how we could use in our situation.

In this lesson, we watched a movie called “Constructing Public Opinion” while talking about some things that was picked up in the video. Out of the topic we talked about, I got curious when talking about vague theme and specific policies.  The reason I got curious about it is because people could easily agree with something if it is a vague theme. However, when it comes to specific policies, people starts to disagree. I think an example of Japan is the regulation. At first that said it until this date, but as it goes on, it didn’t improve so they set the regulation longer. I don’t know if Japan is really doing those things, but at least it made me think that Japan is doing it.

In this lesson, we did something similar to what we were doing in the previous class. Our group mainly talked about who specifically can vote for the leader of the country. Our idea was that the people who pay tax in our country can vote, including the foreigners. As a group we talked about allowing the foreigners, and as personally, I also think the foreigners should have rights to vote. This is because if they are living in our country, it means they are one of the people in our country. Which means they should have the rights to vote. So I couldn’t really understand why some countries don’t allow people who didn’t live in that country just for few years to vote. I never thought of thinking about this topic because it is not a topic we worry about right now. However, I was able to understand that we should be the one to discuss about these topic and judge the right thing.

In this lesson, we talked as a group about how we choose things as a country. We were separated into 3 groups and imagined if we were one of the countries.  Our group talked about how to choose the leader. At first we thought we should have 2 leaders. However, to organize everything about the country, there shouldn’t be 2 leaders so we talked again. We ended up with choosing one leader which all the people who lives in that country can vote. In Japan, people who lives in Japan can’t vote who they want the leader to be. So if the people who lives in that country can vote, I think it will be fair. Even though we ended up with something, we still didn’t know what was the best way of choosing it, so I will think one more time to find the best way.

In this lesson, we talked about Coca Cola. In my life, I’ve drank coca cola hundreds of times. However, I never knew anything about what we learned today.  Out of the things we talked today, the most interesting topic for me was about the football player interview. None of the members are saying the wrong thing but the company didn’t like that. I still don’t know who said the right thing and who said the wrong thing. From now on, I want to think and research more about the things that are around me. What I use, eat, drink and so on.

In this lesson we talked about how some news are biased. We compared two new papers. One was not biased and the other one was biased. I first didn’t understand the meaning of biased news paper but after it was explained I understood that biased news paper includes the writers thinking. When I tried to find some biased news on “Fox news”, I found the title that was already biased. For example, it says “San Francisco is even worse than we knew”. This is not only telling the truth, it also includes what the writers think about the news. I thought I need to search more news because I never tried to find out if the news is biased or not. I also haven’t finish watching the video so I will watch it in the weekend.

September 8 2021

In this lesson, we talked about the political problems that happened in 2002 to 2003 in global and America it self. My impression to what we did today is that the world was unfair.  The topic I thought that was unfair is about disarmament because all of the countries were told not to make any more nuclear weapons by the NNPT. However, the US, UK, Russia, France and China did not listen to that and made more nuclear weapons. I thought that nothing will change unless the nuclear weapons are completely gone because other countries will imitate the 5 countries and start to make or have nuclear weapons. I haven’t finish watching the video of the document so I will do that by next week.
