 In this lesson, we watched a movie called “Constructing Public Opinion” while talking about some things that was picked up in the video. Out of the topic we talked about, I got curious when talking about vague theme and specific policies. 

The reason I got curious about it is because people could easily agree with something if it is a vague theme. However, when it comes to specific policies, people starts to disagree. I think an example of Japan is the regulation. At first that said it until this date, but as it goes on, it didn’t improve so they set the regulation longer.

I don’t know if Japan is really doing those things, but at least it made me think that Japan is doing it.

Before we start to work with our group, Mr. Paterson talked about how a good title page looks, and how a bad title page looks. For example, if the presenter's name was not on the title page, it is a bad title page. Also, when putting a picture in the title page, we need to make sure the picture is easy to see and connects with the title/topic we are going to talk about. I thought it was interesting because when I make a presentation, I was doing what bad title page will look like. After that, Mr. Paterson also talked about how the presentation starts and ends. In this class, we started talking about something that some people made a mistake in the blog that talked about last class(May 20th).  Then during Mr. Paterson was talking about the percentages of people who can't use laptops, phone, and others, he started talking about the universities he has gone to teach the students in those universities. In those universities, not many students could use laptops, phones and so on. After he was done speaking, we went back to our group and kept talking about the problems in each school that should be solved. In the last lesson, we added some ideas but in this lesson, we also added some ideas. For example, the student's lockers are too small, recess is too short, not allowed to go to the rooftop and so on. 15 minute before the class ends, we started talking about who is going to do each part which was the first speaker with a loud voice that could involve the audience. October 15th

In the first half of this class,  I watched the last presentation from group 1. I thought the information was good, and the problems they find is true. However, I think the way they deliver was not that good. For example, they didn't really have the eye contact to us, and also they hesitated a lot and I sometimes couldn't really hear what they are saying, so I couldn't ask questions. The second half of this class, Mr Paterson gave feedbacks to some groups with their grade for the presentation. While Mr Paterson was giving feedbacks, the rest of the people were doing to blog because there are many people who do the blog after 3 days have passed. Mostly, do the blog on time, but sometimes I forget to do it and do it after 3 days have passed so I think I have to fix that and from now on, I will write the blog within 3 days.
