In this lesson, we looked at some of the people’s essays to see what they did well or what they need to improve. However, there was one problem which is that most of the people in our class did not put the link to the essay in the master document, and because of this, we wasted a lot of time. So I thought from now on we have to follow those instructions. When we were looking at other people’s essays, I learnt few things that I need to change in my individual essay. For example, making space between each line. Before I used to think that fitting in one page looked much cleaner, so I always made no space between each line. However, now I think I should because it is much easier to read and also write comments. The essay is due next class so I will have to work on things that was mentioned in the class, and at the end, check my grammar and spelling because there was a mistake in my team essay.

In this lesson, Mr. Paterson checked each of us to make sure that all the people have no problem with Zotero. Then we had time to work on our individual essay since we are checking in the next class to see altogether what is good and what is bad. What I improved in this lesson is the reference part. I used Zotero to make the reference. This was the first time I used Zotero in my work and it was really easy and fast. So I thought I want to use it from now on because Zotero is much faster than my previous way to make a reference. Next lesson we are actually looking at other people's essays to see what they did well, and what they will need to improve. So I think I want to make sure after I see other people's essays, I don't make the same mistake.

In this lesson, we were able to check our individual essay we made ourselves using the body paragraph we wrote in our group essay. Before this lesson, I have put together the body paragraph, the introduction and conclusion so in this lesson,  I only needed to improve more of the paragraph and add things that I am missing.  What I improved in this lesson are the words I used and the way I write the sentences.  I made sure I had at least 8 paragraph in each paragraph. I also made sure my grammar is right because it won't make sense if it was wrong.  For the next lesson, I want to work more at home to improve my individual essay. For example, my AWL's, and also the readability because the higher the percentages are, the better the paragraph will be.

In this lesson, Mr.Paterson has introduced something called Zotero. At first, when I was looking at him setting Zotero, I thought it was going to be a bit difficult for me to master the way to use it. However, when I saw him actually using Zotero, I thought it was a convenient app because it tells us all the information we need to write the reference. For example, the name of the person who wrote the information, the place, and also the date as well. Until now, I was using something in the google document and I was thinking that was the easiest way but now, I think Zotero is easier. However, when I tried to install Zotero, it doesn't work so I need to solve that problem because if I don't solve the problem, I won't be able to install any apps from now on in the future. From now on, I want to use Zotero when I reference something because it is easy and does almost everything for us.
