 In this class, we continued watching the video. The part I was impressed was when a person from the Pfizer, was talking to the people who live near to advertise his company. When I first saw it, I thought he was talking to people to take communication with the people around. However, I noticed that it was to advertise. I sometimes see people advertising to other people about their company. The way they do that was to give out papers which is written about the company. I think this is normal and what the company should do every time. However, the person from Pfizer, didn’t do that and just talked to the people around and casually said the word “Pfizer”. I thought this is not the right way to advertise their company.  I don’t think any people in Japan advertises in a way Pfizer did, but maybe there are people doing it. So I want to know more about how people advertise their company.

In this class, we continued watching the video. During watching the video, we talked about how some countries don’t need to pay money for firefighting, police, and health care and some countries need money for it. For example, in Japan, we don’t have to pay money for firefighting and police. However, we need to pay money for health care. I think these things cause poor people to be unhealthy. Also, even if they know they have cancer, poor people won’t be able to get treatments, or even hospitalize. This is just unfair because every people have rights to be healthy. Different from this, some countries don’t need money for health and I think this is what we need in this world right now.  Now, my parents have enough money to pay for health which makes me think it doesn’t matter to me. However, I thought I need to care more about it because we all have same rights.

 In this class, we continued the video we were watching in the previous classes. This time, I thought it was impressive when they talked about about who is going to take responsibility for the “psychopath”. I don’t really know about what kind of people becomes “psychopath” because no one around me are those kind of people. In the video, it also had the “personal diagnosis checklist”. It wasn’t really clear but I think this checklist is for the people with mental disorder. I thought that because of the people who doesn’t care about these people, there are lot of people becoming to have more serious mental disorder. When the video asked the viewers about who is going to take care of the psychopath people, I couldn’t answer because I didn’t know who actually has to take responsibility. So including that, I want to find some information.

In this class, we continued watching the video we were watching in 19th, October. As we were watching the video, there was information about administering rBGH to the cows. We watched a different video before and that time, the people who were administering, said they didn’t do that. However, this time, they proved that rBGH give stress to the cows. So I thought it was good that it was proved. Another thing that was impressive was about the chemical substance. People first liked to be sprayed, but later on, they found out that the chemical substance has harm to people. Due to that, many people got cancer. I thought this was scary because every one has a possibility to get cancer and I don’t want to get cancer. If I was there, I might have got cancer. I don’t know if this is continuing now as well or not. I also don’t know if these things are happening in Japan. So I will research about it and see if these things are happening in Japan or not. 

 In this class, we watched a video. Out of the content was about cooperation. I personally don’t think cooperation is a good thing because the company will lessen the worker’s salary. The workers should have rights to have appropriate money. So I thought it was unfair for those who work hard. Not only lessen the workers salary, the company also starts to not use things that are not good for the environment. This should be something natural to all the people and try not to use them if it is not necessary. Also , in the video, when I saw people acting different after the camera is off, I thought the things they were saying, is not something they really think. I thought they were told to say it. Next lesson, I am going to make sure I have written all the blog and see if there is anything to add to some blogs.

 In this class, we talked about s tructural adjustment programs. I didn’t know anything about this because we are in a situation where we don’t have to worry about it. However, I think we have to know about this problem because Japan is involved as well. As I was listening about the system of s tructural adjustment programs, I thought it was a terrible thing because water is something we need to live so we should have the right to drink and use water freely. However, the people in Bolivia did not have the right to do that. I think the people who tried to improve that situation was savior because no one could take action to improve that situation, but as a result, those people were treated as the bad people by the US. As I was listening about the people who tried to improve that situation, I wondered what happened to those people because the people who participated in the demo, where killed. How about those saviors?

 In this lesson, we first talked about food scandals. I didn't know any of them so I thought it was interesting. The "Shiroi Koibito", I have eaten it before so I couldn't believe that they had scandals. For Mcdonald's, it is something we eat a lot of times so I felt a bit scared. I never went to "Meat Hope" and I didn't even know what that is, so I did not feel that much scared. For the 'snow brand milk", I thought that this should not happen because this also has an influence on the babies. However, all of them should not be happening because it is bad for our health. We then talked about "World System Theory" by Immanuel Wallerstein. It suggests that there is a world economic system in which some nations benefit and others are exploited.
