Semester 1 Reflection

COVID-19

This semester, everything was different compared to last year. At first, our class was online, then coming back to school but only half a class was at school. Then everyone coming to school but having the tables far away from each other and no group works. Then able to do group works and have the tables together but have to have our masks on. 

When we are having class online, I first felt it was good because we often use ICT in school to do our work and nothing was going to be new. However, as I was doing the work, it was really hard to concentrate because I wasn't able to see other people doing the same thing. Somehow I was able to finish the two documents but not as good as I thought it will be because there were many parts that I needed to improve. Looking back, I could have asked someone else to check my work so that I could have improved before it was checked.

After the online classes have finished, we were able to go to school but half a class every day. I didn't think this was a good idea because we weren't able to meet everyone. However, this is for our safety and nothing is more important than our life. Some people say that half going to school and half not, is a good idea just because there is 1 day holiday after 1 day going to school. I also thought the same thing but at the same time, I wanted to meet everyone because there were some people I don't know.

A few weeks later, we were all able to come back to school but not able to be close to each other and talk to each other or do homework or even eat lunch together. Something that made me worried the most is that we were not able to do group work because when I don't know something, I am not able to ask face to face. However, I was happy when I was able to meet everyone and see everyone sitting on their seats. I thought it has been a long time since the class was full of people. 

Then after a few weeks, we were able to have our tables together in most of the subjects and able to do group work but having masks on at any time. The school was much fun after this but at the same time, I didn't want it to start because there are lots of homework. However, until now I have never felt the importance of going to school normally so I think it was a good experience.

Class Reflection

After going back to school, I worked on my book review and my slides for presenting. At first, the presentation was planned to do this semester but there wasn't enough time so it moved to next semester. I caught this positively and negatively because we were able to have more time to prepare for the presentation. However, the more time we have, the more the expectation will be higher.

During the classes before the summer holiday, I mainly worked on my book review which we had to turn it in and also my presentation. After the book review was retired, I also worked on it since there were lots of parts I need to improve.

In the summer holiday, I will practice my presentation as much as I can do before presenting so that when I am presenting, I know what I need to say and be more confident. I am also going to work on my book review and make sure I could turn in a better book review.
