Long blog
In the past 3 months, we have been learning about how we present our presentation in front of the audience with confidence. In the past, I hated presentations because I always get nervous when I go in front of the audience. However, after taking Mr Paterson's lesson for 3 months, I think I was able to get used to presentation a little bit.
In the past 2 months, I was with a group with Akie and Kei for making our presentation talking about where we should change in the school. We did time allocation talking about we should have more time in recess, homework and vacation. I was in charge of the vacation. I talked about what kind of problem there is if the vacation is too short. I said we have less time with our family, lest time resting and less time of freedom. I chose these problems because these are all really important to keep our body healthy. However, there isn't really a solution except that we can talk to the student council about how it is a problem and why we should change it.
After we have done our presentation, I watched the video of our presentation and I found some goods things and somethings I should improve. Some good things are that I was able to open my hand and show that I am a bit confident, also was able to talk most of the time looking at eh audience, not the screen or the computer. Some things I thought is should improve is that when I was talking, I didn't really walk from one side of the classroom to the other side of the classroom.
I didn't get feedback from Mr Paterson about the presentation, so I don't fully know what I was doing good at, and what I need to improve next time when we present the same thing again after summer holiday to see what we have improved from the first presentation which we presented this term, and I hope that we will be able to do better than the now. To do this, we need to practice more as a group so that we will have more confidence and we won't forget what we need to say.
Overall, I think I for this presentation, we were able to do some things that other team didn't do, like introducing our group and talking about how long we have done this. I thought that the reason we were able to do these was that we had really good teamwork which connected to having a good introduction. We went to each other's houses to work on this and gave each other feedback, which I thought it connects with having a good presentation.
