 In this class, I first watched the Star Wars trailer. Before this class, I didn’t really know about Star Wars, but in this class we talked about the cast and how the movies was made. So I was able to understand a little bit about Star Wars. In the middle of the class, we watched another video where people are reacting to Star Wars. I first didn’t understand why people were crying, but when the main guy came I understood why people were crying and exciting. I personally don’t like Star Wars because it doesn’t look interesting so I never watched Star Wars until today. Even thought I watched the trailer and the reacting video today, I still don’t think it is interesting so I probably won’t watch it.

In this class, we first talked about Christmas. Before this class, I had heard few times about Christmas is not on December 25th. However, I didn’t remember when is the Christian’s Christmas and why our Christmas is on December 25th. I only knew the Christian’s Christmas is in January.  When talking about voting, I thought it was a funny story because UK was desperately trying to stop Scotland to be independent. As I was listening, I wonder if there was a way of knowing about all the things because it is just unfair for the Scottish people. They all have right to know about their own country, and have the right to decide about where they live. I never heard all of the thing we talked about today except for the thing about the Christmas. I don’t really search about history because I don’t feel like I need to research. However, I understood that that the history is important because now is made by past. So I thought I want to know more about Japan’s history. 

 In this lesson, we listened to a presentation. Overall, I thought it was interesting. Especially when it talked about how different map is real or not. I thought all the map is the same and there ain’t no change. However, I realized the map people use and the way they show change how we see.  As I was listening, I wondered why many people didn’t knew about the situation in Scotland. I personally think there are ways for other countries to know about this, and widely known. However, that didn’t happen. I can’t imagine what government did to not spread it. The past few lesson, I learnt how the government tried to make things secret that hide inconvenient things. From now on, I want to know if Japan is hiding things or not.

In this class, we first talked about the video we watched last class. I said that the video talked about how US misleads people using media. Other people around me also had similar idea. Next, we looked at the website “media education foundation”. We watched the trailer called “Band New You”. It was about people trying to change how they look. The trailer didn’t explain why they wanted to change how they look, but I think the reason is because they don’t have confidence. They don’t feel confidence on how they look and thought they was to change themselves.  In the website, there were more and more documentary that looks interesting so when I have time, I will look through more and see the trailer. It is a bit expensive so I will not buy it but I think there are more documentaries that I will get interested.

 In this lesson we watched the video “War made easy”. One thing I understood about this video is that the video is talking about how US used words to operate people. The difference between the video we watched in the second semester is that the video in the second semester talked about what US actually did to Iraq. However, in this video, the main is the words they used. I haven’t finished the video so I am planning to watch it at home. It takes me time to understand the information so I will watch more than a one time.
