 In this class, I worked on the essay by thinking what I should write about while other people were taking the speaking test.   I was planning what I am going to write in the essay. For example, in the video, it talks about how Iraq couldn’t get enough health care. So I am going to write about what I felt about that. I am going to find these examples to write my essay. Next lesson, we will have time working on essay, so I will write about what I was thinking in this class.

 In this class, we talked about the video we watched individually. I thought it was not fair for the Iraq as I was watching the video because their rights were not protected.  When we were taking about how Japan was involved in this, I was surprised because I never knew Japan was involved. Moreover, Japan was not involved directly which I thought was not a good thing. Of course it is not a good thing to get involved but if they are getting involved, I personally thought they should get involved directly. From next week, we are going to talk about what we did in class in this semester and how I felt so I am going to think about that and at the same time, I am going to start writing the essay.

 In this class, we finished the video we have been watching for the last few weeks. The part that I thought impressive was when a girl was doing a speech because she was forced to work for low wages.  It is not low wage labor but I have seen a person called Greta who takes action for global warming. Whenever I see someone who is about my age, taking action for something, I always think it is something that needs brave and something that I could never do. After the girl did the speech, the girl had to work more with lower wages because of the speech. I thought this is not fair because every single person has the right to do that, and that’s what the girl did. I don’t think she should work more.  This problem may be happening in the world right now so I want to know more about it. Especially if there any in Japan. For tomorrow’s class, we are able to work on the 5 paragraph essay so I will start the essay tomorrow.

In this class, we started off talking about how to write an essay. We have experienced writing essay a lot so the information we heard today was not new. In an essay, I think the title and the hook is the most important thing because it is the part where the readers judge if they want to read or not. After that, we continued watching the video. I was a little curious when we talked about the accent. In the video, it showed Scottish accent which makes the corporation looked good. However, I didn’t really understand about that because when we replaced it with Japan, I don’t really feel which accent is better or can be trusted. I thought all the accent is the same.  I think we are going to start writing the essay soon so I want to make sure I have the idea of what I am going to write and how I am going to write it. 

 In this class, we first discussed about the video we had to watch for homework. I watched it on Sunday, so I was able to understand what we discussed. I was also able to explain to another person about the video because some people didn’t watch it. The next thing we did was to watch the video we haven’t finished yet. The first part was how amazon advertise their company. They use boxes that has a huge logo. This is to advertise to everyone. I thought they had a good idea because if the boxes are too small, only the people ordered, could see the logo but if the logos are big, people will able to know more about the company. For this semester we are told that we are going to write about the video we watched for homework, so I want to watch it one more time when I have time. I also want to research so that it is more easier for me to write about it.

 In this class, we still couldn’t watch the video that we haven’t finished, so we talked about different thing. We talked about the war on Iraq and UN. If I be honest, most of the things we talked about today, I never heard. The part I thought that was interesting was the DU (Depleted Uranium). This could destroy a tank and everything so if I imagine people using it, I thought it is really scary. Also, I thought it is scary because people may get cancer because of DU, and especially younger kids because they are not fully developed. Because of this, half a million people died which is really sad.  It is nothing that has connection in this era, but it is something that happened in the world and it is where we live. So I thought I need to know more about what was happening in the past.

 In this class we did political compass test. At first, we were told that we are all going to be in the left bottom, and I personally didn’t think everyone will be in left bottom because we all have different thinking. However, after I finished and saw the result, I was in the left bottom. For me, the test was a bit difficult because there were words that I haven’t heard before. I also thought it was difficult because there was no choice of middle. Most of the question is middle for me, but I couldn’t do that so I chose agree or disagree. So I didn’t really choose strongly agree or strongly disagree. The questions in the test were questions I never thought of, so I thought I need to be more curious about these things, and be more interested in these type of things.
