 In this class, we mostly watched a documentary. Before watching the documentary, we watched pictures and video about the situation in Gaza. The video that the dogs attacking a man, I thought why were they doing that. People in Gaza is not doing any thing to them. It’s just unfair. In the documentary we watched, there was the song from Aladdin. When we were explained about the lyric of the songs, I first couldn’t understand what the song is trying to tell people. I was able to notice how bad some movies are. The only movie I watched out of the documentary was “Back to the Future”, and I never thought about who is being the bad people.  From today’s class, I thought I need to pay more attention to how people are trying to make others bad people because they don’t say it directly.

 In this lesson we watched videos which shows the situation in Gaza. When I saw the moment the building bombed by Israel, I thought it was very tragic. At the same time, it is not something that happens in Japan so it was interest thing for me.  Of all the videos I saw that day, the one that made the biggest impression on me was the one of the girl complaining about her house being blown up. I was surprised to see that she was about the same age as me. I think there are still a lot of news and events that I don't know about, so I would like to learn more about them while questioning many things. Until the next lesson, I want to see the videos one more time and review for the next lesson.

 In this lesson, we started off with experiencing similar thing that Israel did to Gaza. I first wondered why we were doing this, but after that I kind of realized that Mr. Paterson was trying to make the similar situation with Gaza. After we experience something similar, I thought it was unfair that we had to go in from a different door and had to keep standing up. I couldn’t imagine this happening every day.  The second half of the class, the class was splitter into half and one half had to go outside. When we were inside, there was an explanation about a bag saying it is the best bag. Then he told us to write a paragraph about the bag. I couldn’t imagine what Mr. Paterson was trying to do. However, when I asked other half of the class afterwards, they said that there was an explanation saying the bag was the worst bag. Then I realized what he tried to do. I thought he was trying to see how his words effect people’s thinking.  For the next lesson, my group haven’t finis...

 In this lesson, we mainly talked about the problem between Gaza and Israel. As I was listening what has happened, I thought it was a poor thing for Gaza because what Israel did was the same level as what Gaza did but only Gaza was the bad one. I think it is not good to attack back because it is true that there are people who makes fake news, but if I were in that situation, I might do the same thing.  I have never been in this situation so I don’t know anything about them. I don’t know how they feel and how they thought. However, I know that we must not make disparity because it will cause people to suffer.  I also thought we can’t trust the media all the time because they don’t always report the truth. From now on, I will question everything at least once and find out the truth.

 In this lesson, we learned how the viewer’s view change if the reporters take a picture in different ways. In my opinion, I think there are lot of times the reporters do that just to earn profit. They don’t mind weather it is true or not. I think it is the same in Japan. 

 In this class, we talked about the news. When I heard that the more people are related to the news, the less chance it will be said on the news I thought it was unreasonable because every single person's life is the same as others. I think it is important to report everything they researched even though it will negatively affect others because that is the truth that's happening.  Our homework is to see if Japan is doing the same thing. I haven't researched yet but I think Japan is also doing the same thing because I feel like they are only reporting that has an advantage to them.
